BIRTH TRAUMA RESOLUTION

Birth doesn't always go the way we planned and can sometimes bring up moments that stay with you long after they are over. You may replay parts of what happened, feel disconnected from yourself or your baby, feel on edge or emotionally flat, struggle to switch off and worry this feeling won’t shift.


If this sounds familiar, it doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. It means your nervous system experienced something overwhelming and hasn’t yet had the chance to fully process it.


I offer gentle and compassionate 1-1 support for women with the Birth Trauma Resolution Process - Three Step Rewind, a treatment that lifts the symptoms of PTSD. 


Through the 3 Step Rewind approach we create a safe space for you to process and release any emotions linked to your birth story, creating a deeper sense of peace and renewal. 



Private 1:1 in person or online for £130.00 for the 3 sessions process.

How the Three Step Rewind Process Works

3 Step Rewind is a gentle and effective process originated from neuro linguistic programming (NLP) that can help shift the heavy or unhelpful emotions and anxiety that are attached to any negative memories related to your experiences of birth and early motherhood.  The treatment takes place over 3 sessions, corresponding to the 3 steps of the technique: (It is not counselling or therapy).


Step 1: Preparation. During the first session if you are comfortable to do so, you can talk me through your experience. It is not essential for you to share this, but some people find it helpful. We will explore the impact it is still having on you and how it would feel to move beyond these feelings. To finish, I will take you through a guided relaxation. You will take a recording of this home with you to use between sessions. This should all take about 90 minutes


Step 2: Rewind. One week later we will go through the TBR Rewind process. This involves a guided visualisation of your memories whilst in a deeply relaxed state. This will help you to reframe your experiences, without the overwhelming feelings which would normally accompany these memories. We will move on to visualising yourself in the future, feeling confident and doing well. This will take about 60 minutes


Step 3: Review. 10 -14 days later we will complete the final step where we will revisit and consolidate any personal insights and transformations you have gained from the previous session. This can be just 30 minutes.

Is Rewind Right for Me?

Three Step Rewind is likely to be a good fit if you

  • feel stuck in memories or moments
  • experience strong emotional reactions or shutdown
  • feel triggered by reminders
  • sense something unresolved sitting underneath anxiety
  • It can help you move forward without having to relive what happened.


When Rewind may not be the right.

Rewind may not be appropriate if you are currently experiencing:

  • active psychosis
  • severe dissociation
  • thoughts of harming yourself
  • a mental health crisis requiring urgent support
  • If this applies, I can help you think about more appropriate support.

If you’re unsure, that’s completely normal.


A short conversation can help us decide together whether this feels like the right next step for you.


Sessions are available via zoom or in person. You will need to ensure you are child-free and totally undisturbed for each of the sessions.
